Rachel Brooks is a technology entrepreneur and digital strategist for brands and software companies. Rachel is co-founder and CEO of the Chicago-based technology company, Citizen Made, which makes B2B product customization software that allows customers to visually configure and purchase custom products directly from a brand’s site.

How has FOCUS100 Impacted Your Business:
FOCUS100 is hands down the best conference I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending. It brought together a group of people who are focused on excellence, and that’s exactly what we created while at the event. I believe the relationships and mentorship provided at the event have been some of the most important relationships in raising money, and generally gaining the access required to achieve our most recent heights.

Post FOCUS100 Success:
This past week, I was listed as part of Dell’s Inspire 100, a list of 100 world changers in entrepreneurship, philanthropy, education and media who use technology to empower and inspire others. I’m very honored and humbled to be listed with people that I’ve looked up to for years.

Two weeks ago, Citizen Made earned the L’Oreal Women in Digital at the Women 2.0 PITCH conference in New York, where they provided us a cash grant, as well as a year-long partnership with L’Oreal, their venture partners, and the potential to work with their business verticals as well. L’Oreal is an ideal partner for Citizen Made, and we’re looking forward to exploring consumer product innovation with an industry powerhouse.
